Kathryn Morrissey

Consultant

Kathryn is an artist and connector at heart—a strategist working at the intersection of mental health, responsible technology, philanthropy, and the humanities. For over two decades, Kathryn has led and built across the nonprofit sector holding senior roles spanning mental health, disability inclusion, and youth development. Her work has consistently centered those most often overlooked by traditional systems, and has bridged direct service, philanthropy, public policy, and cross-sector convening.

She is the Senior Advisor of Coalition Building & Network Engagement for the AI Psychological Research Coalition, founded by Dr. Zachary Stein in collaboration with Dr. Mitch Prinstein of UNC Chapel Hill. She also serves as a Social Impact Consultant for Prospira Global, a Fellow of the Global Philanthropy Forum, and a Trustee of Forest of Imagination, a UK-based charity. At Bath Spa University, she holds a three-year Visiting Artistic & Research Fellowship in the School of Writing, Publishing and Humanities, where her research returns to the origin and core of culture and asks what becomes possible when our innate human capacities are cultivated with reverence, rigor, and investment across fields and systems from the earliest years.

Navigating her own mental health journey alongside overlapping learning disabilities has deepened her passion for exploring new models of collaboration and funding across the mental health sector.
