Tim’s purpose is to nurture deeply human possibilities. He has been Chief Learning Officer of Unilever since May 2016, responsible for learning and development for Unilever globally. In this role Tim’s focus is on building the leaders and teams needed for a purpose driven business, developing the skills and capabilities for a digital and disrupted world, and enabling people in Unilever to have the wellbeing needed for happiness and high performance.

 

Tim has led Unilever’s employee wellbeing program globally for the last 5 years, putting in place programs and events focussed on 4 key areas – reducing stigma and changing culture, equipping leaders and managers, preventing mental ill health, and delivering support for those who do experience it. With Tim’s leadership Unilever co-founded the Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health, and Tim has represented Unilever on the UK Thriving at Work Leadership Council.

Tim joined Unilever in 1993 as a graduate trainee. His assignments have taken him to the Netherlands, Belgium, the US and around the UK. Before becoming Chief Learning Officer, he was Vice President of HR for Unilever UK & Ireland.
